U.S. extends bid date for governors at 517.8-MW Garrison

The Corps of Engineers has extended its deadline for proposals to replace governors at 517.8-MW Garrison Dam on the Missouri River in Garrison, N.D. The new date is Aug. 25, extended from Aug. 8.

The contractor will have 355 days to furnish, install, and test new governor controls and accessories and digital retrofits for Units 1-5. Work includes removal and disposal of existing governor mechanical controls. The Corps estimates the work will range from $750,000 to $1 million.

Documents for Solicitation No. W9128F-06-R-0018 are on the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDs) Internet site, www.fedteds.gov. Bidders must register on the site and on the Central Contractor Registration database, www.ccr.gov.
