U.S. seeks generator work at 73.4-MW West Point

The Corps of Engineers seeks proposals by May 16 for new generator stator laminations and windings at its 73.4-MW West Point powerhouse.

Work will include design, manufacture, and installation of new stator laminations and windings for hydro turbine-driven vertical generators at the powerhouse, on the Chattahooche River in West Point, Ga.

The solicitation can be obtained from the Internet at www.fedteds.gov. It will not be issued in printed paper format. Prospective contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers must be registered at FedTeDs (Federal Technical Data Solution) to obtain solicitation information. The Corps said it anticipates awarding a fixed-priced contract based on best value procedures.
