U.S. to seek gate painting at 120-MW Parker Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation plans to seek bids for painting bulkhead gates and draft tube bulkhead gates at 120-MW Parker Dam in California. The government estimates the job will cost from $500,000 to $1 million.

In pre-solicitation notice No. 06SP308070, BuRec’s Lower Colorado Region said it would solicit proposals for a contractor to prepare and paint all exposed surfaces of four fixed-wheel penstock gates and 12 draft tube bulkhead gates. The government expects the job will take about 180 days.

The solicitation is to be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fedbizopps.gov, but the government reserves the right to issue it on paper or CD-ROM. Bidders may register for notifications, or download the solicitation and any amendments, at www.fedbizopps.gov.
