Voith Hydro has announced that Stan Kocon has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer at its facility in York, effective immediately.

The promotion makes Kocon a member of York’s Board of Management, working under president and CEO Kevin Frank.

“With 25 years of experience working across multiple fields at Voith Hydro, Stan is uniquely qualified for his new position within our company,” Frank said. “Stan’s knowledge and leadership will benefit both our customers as well as Voith’s employees in York and across the U.S.”

Kocon joined Voith Hydro in 1988, working in its hydraulic engineering department. He has also spent time at the company’s headquarters in Heidenheim, Germany, and office in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Kocon spent the previous eight years as Voith Hydro’s vice president of sales and marketing, preceded by time in its proposal engineering and hydro modernization departments.

He holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering degrees in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
