The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extended bidding to rehabilitate a 150-ton bridge crane at 52-MW Sam Rayburn Dam north of Jasper, Texas. Bids now are due April 19.

The Corps’ Fort Worth District now seeks design, testing, and all work necessary to upgrade and certify the crane to a 160-ton rating. The work will be funded by stimulus money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. (HydroWorld 5/4/09)
