U.S. seeks drilling, piezometers for 101-MW Lucky Peak Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for geotechnical drilling and installation of piezometers at 101-MW Lucky Peak Dam on the Boise River in Idaho. Bids are due Sept. 6.

The Corps of Engineers dam features a hydroelectric project licensed to Boise-Kuna, Nampa & Meridian, New York, and Wilder irrigation districts in Idaho and Big Bend irrigation district in Oregon.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District seeks about 440 feet of geotechnical drilling through the dam crest and installation of two piezometers to measure water levels in the base of the downstream filter zone of the dam.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF11B0009 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
