Video insights from HydroVision International: Dr. Erik Sparrevik, Vattenfall Vattenkraft AB

Dr. Erik Sparrevik is senior environmental specialist with Vattenfall Vattenkraft AB.

He has extensive experience with investigations and research concerning the effects of hydropower on aquatic fauna, especially fish. For the past 10 years, he has been a specialist and project leader at Vattenfall, one of the largest hydropower companies in Europe, working to find effective mitigation measures for upstream and downstream migration of fish.

Before joining Vattenfall, Dr. Sparrevik worked for the Fisheries Research Office of the Swedish Board of Fisheries.

Dr. Sparrevik spoke in the Water and Environment track at HydroVision International 2019, in a panel discussion session entitled Fish “Lyft”: Aquatic Ride Sharing.
