Video insights from HydroVision International: Independent consultant Dr. Helen Locher

Dr. Helen Locher is one of four women chosen to receive the Women with Hydro Vision award for 2019, presented at HydroVision International 2019 during a special luncheon.

Dr. Locher has a long history of contribution to advancing hydropower sustainability at a local and global scale. She developed and lead social and environmental programs for Hydro Tasmania.

In addition, Dr. Locher worked with the International Hydropower Association on several initiatives. These include contributing to the development of IHA’s Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol, coordinating the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Forum, and authoring IHA’s sustainability Hydropower Guidelines for Good International Industry Practice.
