Croatia-based firm to overhaul Haditha hydropower plant in Iraq

Ingra d.d., a Croatia-based construction and engineering company, has signed an $8.26 million contract to overhaul the six-unit Haditha hydroelectric power plant in Iraq, wire services reported.

The contracted works include rehabilitation of turbines, generators and other equipment, reports indicate.

The rehab project at the 660-MW Haditha hydro plant will be completed in two years, the Zagreb-based company reported.

The Haditha plant was built by Ingra in the 1980s.
