Czech developer seeks construction of Velky Osek small hydro

Czech developer MVE Velky Osek s.r.o. seeks bids to build a powerhouse for the Velky Osek small hydropower project in the Czech Republic. Bids are due October 20.

MVE Velky Osek seeks construction of a powerhouse and switchyard at the existing Velky Osek weir and lock. The structure eventually is to house three Kaplan turbine-generators.

The work is to be performed between December 2008 and January 2010 for an estimated cost between 40 million and 65 million koruny (US$2.3 million to US$3.75 million).

Tender documents, in Czech, may be obtained from the address below until 2 p.m. September 30. Bids, in Czech, are due by 2 p.m. October 20.
