EU to seek small hydro equipment for Honduras

The European Union’s (EU) Asia and Latin America development program announced it plans to seek proposals for electro-mechanical equipment and piping for small hydroelectric projects in Honduras.

Tendering is expected for supply and installation of electro-mechanical equipment and for steel pressure pipe and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water delivery pipe for two small hydroelectric projects in separate locations in Honduras.

In two supply contract forecasts Oct. 4, the EU said it expects to seek proposals after 30 days have elapsed.

It listed contracting authorities as Honduras’ Secretaria Tecnica y de Cooperacion and utility Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica. However, it said applications and requests for information should not be sent until formal notices are issued.
