Hydroelectric power in focus at POWERGEN International

Hydropower remains the largest source of renewable energy in the world, and it deserves a seat at the table during any discussions about the future of electric power generation.

POWERGEN International is giving hydroelectricity a major seat at the table in New Orleans Nov. 19-21, with a Hydropower Knowledge Hub and a Hydro Zone in the exhibit hall, as well as coverage of related topics in the Summit (conference) sessions and during the breakfast roundtable discussions.

Additionally, many of the companies exhibiting at POWERGEN International work in hydro, so there will be plenty to see and do in the extensive exhibit hall.

POWERGEN International, organized by Clarion Energy, serves as a business and networking hub for electricity generators, utilities and solution providers engaged in any or all of the multiple cross-sections of power generation.

Another special event at POWERGEN International is the Excellence in Character Awards, which are being given during the Lunch for Better Balance on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Five women “who have stepped up and taken the lead on an initiative, project or other endeavor that is meaningful for them” will serve as panelists during the lunch.
