Swedish firm to refurbish unit of 64-MW Gulsele

Finshyttan Hydro Power AB has received an order from GE Energy (Sweden) AB to renovate one turbine of 64-MW Gulsele hydroelectric project on Sweden’s Angermanalven River.

Finshyttan’s parent, Morphic Technologies of Sweden, said the order is for machining work on a Kaplan unit originally supplied by Karlstads Mekaniska Verkstad to the three-unit Gulsele, which was completed in 1956.

Work is to be completed in July on behalf of project owner E.ON Sverige AB.
