Austria utility seeks automation for 4-MW Gurkwerk

Energie Klagenfurt GmbH seeks bids by June 13 to automate and refurbish equipment at the 4-MW Gurkwerk hydroelectric project on Austria’s Gurk River.

Energie Klagenfurt seeks renovation of hydro-mechanical equipment and automated control of turbine regulation and other operations of Gurkwerk. The plant, which has four Francis turbines, was built in 1902 east of Klagenfurt.
