HYDROVISION Exchange adds exciting content; register now

Several exciting speakers and sessions have been added to the lineup for next month’s HYDROVISION Exchange virtual event.

HYDROVISION International and Hydro Review are hosting this completely virtual experience on November 16-19, 2020. The HYDROVISION Exchange will kick off with a powerful keynote address — featuring Bonneville Power Administration Interim Administrator and Chief Executive Officer John Hairston — and provide timely content and education sessions, peer-to-peer networking, and matchmaking assistance between decision-makers and sellers.

A couple of the newest highlights of our upcoming program:

Utility Executive Roundtable featuring diverse high-level speakers from power-producing companies worldwide. Confirmed speakers for this roundtable are: Jason Thackston, senior vice president, energy resources with Avista in the U.S.; Bernard Valluy, head of project management and innovation with Alpiq SA in Switzerland; and Gilbert Bennett, executive vice president, power development with Nalcor Energy-Lower Churchill Project.

Market Trends: Novel Cybersecurity Capabilities to Meet Hydropower’s Evolving Challenges, a session organized by the U.S. Department of Energy that will cover the vital need to ensure that hydropower infrastructure in the U.S. is safeguarded against an increasingly broad range of threat actors. The evolution of the industry will be discussed, along with new resources that can be brought to bear on these challenges.

Content and session topics will cover some of the themes presented during the summit tracks and knowledge hubs at HYDROVISION International, such as Market Trends and Asset Strategies, Energy Storage, Operations and Maintenance, and Policies and Regulations. We are striving to create additional opportunities that will be focused on bringing our hydro industry virtually together during this time when we can’t be live in person.
