Albania offers four hydro project concessions

Albania’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy (METE) seeks bids in November for four concessions to develop hydroelectric projects. Bids in four solicitations are due November 8, 14, and 16.

In one of the current solicitations, METE seeks bids by 11 a.m. November 8 for a concession to develop the hydro project Vranisht, Zicisht, Grapsh, Stropan, and Hocisht in the watershed of five streams of the same names.

Bids are due by 11 a.m. November 14 for a concession to develop the Bllice hydroelectric project on the Bllice stream and its tributaries.

METE seeks bids in two solicitations November 16, one by 11 a.m. for a concession to develop the Zerec 1 project on Dusharit River. The other November 16 solicitation is due by 2 p.m. for a concession for the hydropower project Staravecke 1 and Staravecke 2 on Staravecke stream and its tributaries.

Solicitation notices may be obtained from the METE Internet site,, under Koncesione and Ftese per Oferte. Tender documents may be obtained for 5,000 lek (US$49) each from the address below. Fees are to be remitted to METE Account No. 0104030780, Raiffeisen Bank, Tirana.
