Albania seeks EM rehab, monitoring system for 600-MW Komani

TIRANA, Albania 12/8/11 (PennWell) — The Albanian power corporation seeks bids for rehabilitation of electro-mechanical equipment and installation of a control monitoring system at the 600-MW Komani hydroelectric project on Albania’s Drin River. Bids are due December 19.

Korporata Elektroenergjetike Shqiptare (KESH) also is taking bids January 16, 2012, for spillway gates and stoplogs as part of the rehabilitation of Komani and the 500-MW Fierza and 250-MW Vau i Dejes projects, also on the Drin. 

In the current solicitation, KESH seeks rehabilitation of four turbines, governors, main inlet valves, generators, excitation systems, generator transformers, and unit protection systems; two powerhouse cranes; mechanical auxiliaries; AC-DC auxiliary systems; control and monitoring hardware and software; and workshop facilities.
