Czech developer extends equipment bid date for 4.59-MW Libechov

Developer Mercator Energy a.s. has extended the deadline for bids to equip the 4.59-MW Libechov hydroelectric project on the Elbe River in the Czech Republic. Bids now are due December 16.

Mercator Energy previously called for bids by November 22. It is developing the Libechov project at an existing weir on the lower Elbe. It seeks bids to manufacture, supply, and install one Kaplan turbine-generator.

Valued at 85 million koruny (US$4.75 million), the work is to be completed in April 2013.

Solicitation documents may be obtained from the address below for 5,000 koruny (US$268). Bids, in Czech, are due by 1 p.m. December 16.
