Czech developer seeks equipment for 4.59-MW Libechov

Developer Mercator Energy a.s. seeks bids to equip the 4.59-MW Libechov hydroelectric project on the Elbe River in the Czech Republic. Bids are due November 22.

Mercator Energy is developing the Libechov project at an existing weir on the lower Elbe. It seeks bids to manufacture, supply, and install one Kaplan turbine-generator. The turbine is to be 4,800 millimeters in diameter with an average annual generation of 12 megawatt-hours.

Valued at 85 million koruny (US$4.75 million), the work is to be completed in April 2013.

Solicitation documents may be obtained until noon November 18 from the address below for 2,000 koruny (US$112). Bids, in Czech, are due by 3 p.m. November 22.
