Dispute board, insurance adviser sought for Lesotho’s Metolong Dam

The government of Lesotho seeks engineers to serve on a dispute board, and an insurance adviser for its project to build and operate Metolong Dam. Responses to separate solicitations are due June 22 and June 29.
To be built on the Phuthitsana River near Metolong, Lesotho, Metolong Dam is a Lesotho Lowlands Water Supply project that is to supply domestic and industrial water to six lowland districts of Lesotho. The government pre-qualified firms to build the dam and a raw water pumping station in May. (HydroWorld 4/26/10)

Expressions of interest are due by 11 a.m. June 22 from civil engineers to serve on a dispute board to prevent and settle disputes with various contractors. The Metolong Program Implementation Unit (to be succeeded by the Metolong Authority) is to establish a list of potential board members. An original and three copies, labeled “Expression of Interest for Services of Dispute Board for the Metolong Dam and Water Supply Program,” are to be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer address below.

Proposals are due by 11 a.m. June 29, to the Chief Executive Officer address below, from consulting firms to serve as insurance adviser to the Metolong Program Implementation Unit in managing its insurable risks for the remainder of the program.
