The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to rehabilitate an intake gantry crane at the 142-MW Dardanelle hydroelectric project on the Arkansas River in Arkansas. Bids are due Jan. 27, 2011.
The Dardanelle project has four generating units that began operation in 1965.
The Corps’ Little Rock District seeks bids to rehabilitate the intake gantry crane, including increasing the gantry and main hoist rating to 50 tons from 40 tons. The contractor also is to provide temporary intake gate handling facilities while the gantry crane is out of service.
The work is valued at between $1 million and $5 million.
