Hungary firm seeks bids for turbine work at 28-MW Kiskore

TISZALOK, Hungary 6/14/12 (PennWell) — Hungary hydro operator Tiszaviz Vizeromu Kft. seeks bids for work on hydropower turbine parts at the 28-MW Kiskore hydroelectric project in Hungary. Bids are due July 5.

Tiszaviz Vizeromu called for bids in January for similar work. The utility contracted Voith Siemens’ Austria unit and Siemens RT of Hungary in 2002 to refurbish Kiskore, which originally was commissioned in 1974 on the Tisza River. The plant’s four 7-MW bulb turbines were upgraded from 2003-2006.

Tiszaviz Vizeromu now seeks two-piece welded construction of a turbine impeller ring. The work, valued at 150 million forints (US$636,810), is to require nine months.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below for 50,800 forints (US$216) payable by bank transfer to CIB Bank Zrt, Account 10700048-04370202-51100005. Bids in Hungarian are due by 2 p.m. July 5.
