Slovakia utility seeks construction of Moson 2 small hydro

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia 3/7/12 (PennWell) — Waterpower utility Vodohospodarska Vystavba seeks bids to build the Moson 2 small hydropower project in Slovakia. Bids are due April 2.

Moson 2 is to be built near the 1.22-MW Moson project, part of the 720-MW Gabcikovo hydroelectric complex that Vodohospodarska operates on the Danube River.

Work is to include construction of an intake, powerhouse, and tailrace; landscaping; cabling; and mechanical and electrical equipment. The contract is valued at 6 million euros (US$7.9 million).
