Stoplog refurbishment sought by U.S. for 6,809-MW Grand Coulee

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to refurbish pumping and generation plant stoplogs at the 6,809-MW Grand Coulee hydroelectric project. Bids are due July 25.

Reclamation is taking bids in August to replace switchyard relays and install a communication system for Grand Coulee’s Third Power Plant.

In a solicitation reserved for small businesses, Reclamation now seeks disassembly of 11 stoplogs varying in weight from 15,200 to 25,000 pounds, refurbishment, repainting, and customization of new seals. The work is valued at between $500,000 and $1 million.
