The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has extended the bidding deadline for pipe, fittings, valves, pumps, and insulation for the 126-MW Robert S. Kerr hydroelectric project on the Arkansas River in Oklahoma. Bids now are due June 30.
The Corps’ Tulsa District previously called for bids by June 20. It took bids in 2010 for startup and commissioning of centralized controls of the Kerr power plant. It took bids in February to supply events recording and annunciation equipment for eight hydroelectric projects in Oklahoma and Texas including Robert S. Kerr.
In a small business set-aside, the Corps now seeks Schedule 40 steel pipe, fabricated segments, fusion-bonded coating, fittings, valves, pumps, and insulation for power plant cooling water systems.
