U.S. sets bid date for Yellowstone Park micro-hydro

The U.S. National Park Service seeks bids to construct a micro-hydroelectric project in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Bids are due March 16, 2010.

The service previously issued a pre-solicitation notice for the proposed work, which is valued at between $1 million and $5 million and will be open to both small and large businesses. (HydroWorld 1/26/10)

NPS said it plans to award a contract in April followed by a notice to proceed in May. Completion is expected in 2011.

The solicitation is available from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. I157410A040 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
