Afghanistan seeks bids to build Pashdan, Shah-wa-Arus hydro projects

The government of Afghanistan seeks bids for construction of the Pashdan and Shah-wa-Arus irrigation and hydropower projects. Bids are due in separate solicitations March 9 and March 10.

Bids are due by 2 p.m. March 9 to build the Pashdan irrigation and hydropower project, which includes a rockfill dam, intake, powerhouse, weir head regulators, and right and left side main canals.

Bids are due by 2 p.m. March 10 to build the Shah-wa-Arus irrigation and hydropower project, which includes a rockfill dam, intake, powerhouse, pickup weir with balancing reservoir and head regulators, and right and left side main canals.

Afghanistan Reconstruction and Development Services (ARDS) seeks bids for both projects on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Water. Bidding documents in English may be obtained from the ARDS Internet site, www.ards.org.af, or from the address below.

Pre-bid meetings for both solicitations are scheduled at 10 a.m. February 15. Bids are to be submitted to the address below.
