Africa agency seeks hydrometric equipment for three river basins

The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) seeks bids to supply hydrometric equipment in a project to support shared use of the Buzi, Rovuma, and Save River basins. Bids are due December 6.

SADC previously has worked with lenders to assist in transboundary river basin support and shared watercourse management among nations of southern Africa.

In the current solicitation, the agency seeks supply and delivery of hydrometric equipment for five river basin management institutions: Administracao Regional de Aguas do Centro and Administracao Regional de Aguas do Norte in Mozambique, Ruvuma and South Coast Basin Water Office in Tanzania, and Zimbabwe National Water Authority’s Runde Catchment Council and Save Catchment Council.
