Armenia to seek equipment, rehab for dam safety

The government of Armenia says it plans to seek bids for a series of contracts for equipment and emergency work under dam safety and irrigation development programs.

With a US$26.6 million credit from the World Bank, the government said remaining activity under the program includes procurement of equipment for dams maintenance, and emergency civil work on dams.

Specific procurement notices are to be issued for construction contracts and consultants. Prospective bidders who wish to be included on a mailing list for invitations to bid are invited to contact the address below.

Construction equipment sought for dams program

Bids are due by 4 p.m. April 25 to supply heavy equipment for dam safety and irrigation development work. The government seeks 30 backhoes, six excavators, three crane-manipulators, six truck cranes, two dump trucks, and 22 diesel-powered welding units.

Bid documents, in English, may be obtained from the address below for US$100 or 43,950 drams. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled at 11 a.m. April 4.
