Bosnia seeks management consultants for 20-MW Vranduk hydropower development project

Utility Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina invites expressions of interest from consultants to assist project preparation and management of the 20-MW Vranduk hydroelectric development project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Responses are due April 22.

Elektroprivreda previously announced it plans to seek bids to build Vranduk on the Bosna River, refurbish the 9.4-MW Una Kostela hydroelectric project, and construct the 6.4-MW Una Kostela Annex on the Una River. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said in March it approved a US$46.4 million loan for the projects.

The utility now invites expressions of interest from consultants to provide pre-contract services such as preliminary design review, environmental assessment, and tender document preparation and evaluation, as well as post-contract services such as review of contract implementation, review of design documents, project and site management, assistance in inspection and testing, and monitoring and supervision.

With a budget of 2.5 million euros (US$3.2 million) the work is to require 58 months beginning in September.

An original and two copies, plus an electronic copy on CD-ROM, of expressions of interest in English are due to the address below by April 22. Responses are to be labeled “Expression of Interest for HPP Vranduk Project: Consultancy Services.”
