Brazil seeks construction of 8.25-MW Jequitai 1

A government-owned company for development of Brazil’s Sao Francisco and Parnaiba valleys seeks bids for civil construction of the 8.25-MW Jequitai 1 project. Bids are due October 4.

Companhia de Desenvolvimento dos Vales do Sao Francisco e do Parnaiba (Codesvasf) plans to develop Jequitai on the Jequitai River to provide flood control and power generation. The project includes a roller-compacted-concrete dam, intake, and powerhouse to contain a single 8.25-MW Kaplan turbine and three-phase synchronous generator. Codesvasf seeks bids for civil construction of the project.
