Brazil seeks consultant for large hydro project analysis

The government of Brazil seeks applications from consultants to establish procedures for analysis of large hydroelectric projects. Responses are due June 1.

Electricity regulator Agencia Nacional de Energia Eletrica (ANEEL) seeks consults to establish project analysis procedures based on studies that are submitted to the agency in Portuguese. The consultant is to assist the analyses of projects chosen by ANEEL, develop standard procedures for such analyses, and validate the procedures with practical cases.

The work is to be performed in 45 days and requires three trips to Brasilia. Applicants are to have 10 years’ related professional experience and knowledge of the procedures of multilateral financial organizations.

Applications, including qualifications, are due by June 1 to the e-mail address below. Details of the request and selection criteria may be obtained from ANEEL’s Internet site, www.aneel.gov.br, under Simplified Selection Process No. 35.
