An Eletrobras-owned small hydroelectric project in Brazil’s Santa Catarina state is now online, the utility company announced earlier this week.

Barra do Rio Chapeu is located on the Braco do Norte River and is one part of the Sao Bernardo complex.

Also included are the Itarare, Joao Borges and Pinheiros hydro facilities which, along with Barra do Rio Chapeu, will have a total combined output of more than 50 MW.
