Bureau of Reclamation opening doors for HydroVision attendees

The Bureau of Reclamation Technical Service Center is opening its doors for attendees of the world’s largest hydroelectric power event, but space is limited and the deadline to register is Friday, June 21.

Since its start in Fort Collins, Colo., in 1930, Reclamation’s Technical Service Center has conducted studies and tests critical to the development of American water projects.

Now located in Denver, the center continues to provide essential research, making it a pioneer in the development of hydraulic equipment, structures, instrumentation, and design guidance and analysis tools for hydraulic engineering.

Participants will visit a number of the center’s significant departments during the tour, including stops at Reclamation’s Hydraulics Modeling Lab, Fisheries Lab, Zebra and Quagga Mussel Lab and more.

This technical tour takes place July 23 and is one of four being offered in conjunction with HydroVision International 2013.

HydroVision International 2013 runs July 23-26 at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center.
