Canada hydro utility seeks drafting services for engineering design

Canadian utility BC Hydro seeks bids to provide drafting services to support its Engineering Design Departments in British Columbia on an as-needed basis. Bids are due Sept. 14.

BC Hydro seeks bids Oct. 15 to supply replacement turbine inlet valves for the 158-MW Cheakamus hydroelectric project and by Sept. 15 to replace generator switchgear at the 180-MW Bridge River 1 hydro project. It awarded a contract in August to Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. for site preparation at the 1,100-MW Peace River Site C hydropower project.

BC Hydro now says it wants to award multiple contracts for drafting services including civil, electrical, mechanical, protection and control, and structural drafting disciplines. It anticipates awarding contracts to at least two bidders for each drafting discipline.
