Canada utility extends call for crane, hoist services at B.C. hydropower projects

Canadian utility BC Hydro has extended the deadline for applications for pre-qualification to perform services to cranes and hoists at hydroelectric projects throughout the utility’s system in British Columbia. Responses now are due Feb. 5.

BC Hydro previously called for responses by Jan. 22. It took proposals in December for engineering consulting services to perform equipment health rating assessments of its hydroelectric facilities. It took proposals in January to supply transformers to various facilities including the 180-MW Bridge River 1 hydroelectric project.

BC Hydro now invites applications for pre-qualification to perform all types of services related to bridge and gantry cranes, fixed drum hoists, overhead cranes and monorails that might require service from time to time across the BC Hydro system.
