Canada utility seeks air coolers for 804-MW Seven Mile hydro project

Canadian utility BC Hydro seeks bids to supply eight surface air coolers for the 804-MW Seven Mile hydroelectric project on the Pend d’Oreille River in British Columbia. Bids are due March 31.

BC Hydro took bids last year to replace low-voltage circuit breakers and related equipment at Seven Mile and four other hydroelectric projects in British Columbia. It took bids in March for turbine welding at three B.C. projects.

The utility now seeks bids for design, fabrication and delivery of eight surface air coolers, complete with documentation and accessories, to handle the cooling load of the Seven Mile generating station G4 generator.
