Canada utility seeks intake gates for 47-MW Ladore, 67.5-MW Strathcona hydro projects

Canadian utility BC Hydro seeks bids to supply intake gates to the 47-MW Ladore hydroelectric project with an option to supply gates to the 67.5-MW Strathcona project on the Campbell River in British Columbia. Bids are due Dec. 2.

BC Hydro is in the process of upgrading three hydropower facilities in the Campbell River region of British Columbia’s Vancouver Island. The Campbell River system includes Ladore, Strathcona, and the 126-MW John Hart project.

The utility seeks bids to fabricate and supply two intake operating gates for the Ladore project, with an option to supply two intake operating gates for Strathcona.

A solicitation notice and response form may be obtained from British Columbia’s BC Bid Internet site, www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. Click on Browse, then Browse Using the Advanced Search, Document Number RFP 1614. Completed response forms are to be submitted by 11 a.m., Pacific time, Dec. 2.
