Canada utility seeks replacement of intake gate hoist at 33-MW Clowhom hydro project

Canadian utility BC Hydro seeks bids to replace an intake maintenance gate hoist at the 33-MW Clowhom hydroelectric project on the Clowhom River on the lower mainland of British Columbia. A site visit is scheduled Oct. 23, with bids due Oct. 29.

BC Hydro also seeks bids by Nov. 5 from engineering consulting firms to engineer water retention and conveyance structures over at least seven years for the hydropower utility. It took bids in August to install replacement intake gates at the 47-MW Ladore hydroelectric project on the Campbell River in British Columbia.

BC Hydro now seeks bids for intake maintenance gate hoist replacement at Clowhom generating station. Work is to include conceptual and detailed design, fabrication, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new bulkhead hoist system as well as disposal of existing equipment.
