Canada utility seeks turbine welding for three hydro projects

Canadian utility BC Hydro seeks bids to perform turbine welding at three hydroelectric projects in British Columbia. Bids are due March 4.

BC Hydro previously called for bids by March 20 for site preparation for the 1,100-MW Peace River Site C hydro project.

The utility now seeks bids to perform turbine welding services on an “if, as or when required” basis at its 2,480-MW Revelstoke, 1,085-MW Mica and 10.4-MW Shuswap Falls hydropower projects.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from British Columbia’s BC Bid Internet site, www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. Click on Browse, then Browse Using the Advanced Search, Document Number 1944.
