Canadian Hydropower Association launches new website

OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada 5/29/12 (PennWell) — The Canadian Hydropower Association’s announces the launch of its redesigned website.

The updated site was first unveiled at the CHA’s 2012 Forum on Hydropower this past week and offers both a new look and enhanced functionality.¬†

The Canadian Hydropower Association¬†has also changed its URL to CanadaHydro.ca to better establish the organization’s presence on the internet.

E-mail addresses have also been changed to reflect the new URL, including:

CHA says its previous website address and e-mail addresses will continue working while the transition takes place.

Canadian Hydropower Association Forum on Hydropower planned for October

Registration is now open for the Canadian Hydropower Association’s Forum on Hydropower 2010, planned for October at the Westin Ottawa.

The forum, titled “Canadian Hydropower in the North American Context,” will bring together a range of hydropower industry leaders, including senior executives from utilities, government and corporations. The event will feature speakers and opportunities for networking.

Activities begin on Oct. 25 with the Annual General Meeting (for members) at 5 p.m. The Forum begins on October 26 at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, networking and discussions.

Speakers include journalists and political commentators Jane Taber and Craig Oliver, Quebec’s Delegate General to New York, John Parisella, and the Carty Chair in Business and Financial Journalism, Christopher Waddell, among others.

The panel of “Voices from America on Canadian Hydro” will be moderated by National Hydropower Association Executive Director Linda Church Ciocci. This panel of experts on the U.S. government will provide an inside perspective on how our closest trading partner perceives Canadian hydropower.
