Chile utility seeks bids for power

Chilean utility CGE Distribucion S.A. seeks proposals from national and international bidders to supply electric power and energy. Bidding documents must be requested by September 1.

The utility seeks baseload of 1,700 gigawatt-hours per year with associated power for 2009-2018 and a variable load of up to 610 GWh per year with its associated power for 2009-2013. There is no stated preference for generating technology.

Chilean or foreign entities may buy documents of terms and conditions for 1.19 million pesos (US$2,187). After being identified, those companies will be the only entities taking part in the entire bidding process. A written application must be submitted to the address below by September 1.
