China seeks EM equipment for Hubei Province hydro program

China’s international tendering agency seeks bids for electro-mechanical equipment for a hydropower project in the World Bank-funded Hubei Hydropower Development in Poor Areas Project. Bids are due March 5.

China’s CMC International Tendering Corp. seeks bids for the following:
o Package 1, supply and installation of electro-mechanical equipment for two generating units; and
o Package 2, supply and installation of metal structure.

CMC did not identify the specific hydropower project. In 2007, it issued a similar solicitation for five units at the 18-MW Hongwawu hydroelectric project, which is being developed under the Hubei program with the 10-MW Zhamushui hydro project in Jianshi County, Enshi Prefecture of Hubei Province. The program already is developing four hydro plants in Hubei Province: 36-MW Najitan, Youshui River; 110-MW Dongping, Zhongjian River; 50-MW Songshuling, Guandu River; and 30-MW Xiakou, Juhe River.

Bidding documents in English may be obtained from the first address below upon payment of 1,000 renminbi or US$125 in cash or cashier’s check. Express mail delivery requires another 500 renminbi (US$66). Bids are due by 10 a.m. March 5.
