China seeks generating units, crane for 65-MW Dagushan

Chinese officials seek bids for turbine-generator equipment and crane equipment for the 65-MW Dagushan hydroelectric project on the Heihe River in Gansu Province. Bids are due October 22.

Dagushan is the second project of the Gansu Heihe Rural Hydropower Development Investment Program. (HNN 6/6/07) The Asian Development Bank previously approved the first project, providing US$22 million of the US$49 million cost of building the 50.5-MW Erlongshan hydroelectric project upstream of Dagushan.

Gansu Zhangye Dagushan Hydropower Co. plans eventually to seek bids for nine packages of civil works, equipment, and consultant services for Dagushan. The project is to have a 20-meter-tall dam, a reservoir of 290,000 cubic meters, and a powerhouse containing two 26-MW and one 13-MW turbine-generators.

On behalf of Gansu Zhangye Dagushan, its procurement agent, Imstrimpex International Tendering Co. invites bids for:
Package 1: Generator/turbine equipment; and
Package 2: Crane Equipment.

Companies may bid for one or both packages. However, bids shall be submitted for each package separately so they can be evaluated individually.

Bidding documents in English may be obtained from the Instrimpex address below for 2,000 renminbi or US$260 in cash or cashier’s check. The documents will be delivered by courier.
