Developers of China’s 88-MW Cuijiaying Navigation and Power Complex Project seek bids by May 11 for a bulb turbine-generator and accessories for the project on the Han River in Hubei Province.
Cuijiaying is part of the Fifth Inland Waterways project, which received World Bank approval last year for a US$100 million loan. Objectives of the waterways project include providing cost-effective transport capacity for waterway users on the Han River as well as sustainable hydropower and water resources for the Xiangfan City area and the Tondong farmland region.
On behalf of Hubei Provincial Cuijiaying Navigation and Power Complex Management Department (HPCM), China International Tendering Co. (CITC) invites bids for a bulb turbine-generator and accessories. Bidding is to be conducted under World Bank procedures.
Hubei Province’s Project Management Office recently awarded a US$11.6 million contract to No. 9 Engineering Bureau of China Water Conservancy and Hydropower to provide diversion channel excavation and protection works under the Fifth Inland Waterways project.
Bidding documents for the latest solicitation, in English or Chinese, may be obtained from the CITC address below, upon written application and payment of 2,000 renminbi or US$250 by cash or check. Documents will be sent by express mail. Bids are due to the HPCM address below by 10 a.m. May 11.
