Command, control systems sought for six French hydro projects

Hydropower engineer Hydrostadium seeks bids to renovate the command and control systems of six hydroelectric projects operated by Electricite de France on the lower Maulde River in France. Bids are due December 29.

Hydrostadium, a subsidiary of Electricite de France, took bids in September to renovate turbines of the 4-MW Bazacle project on France’s Garonne River and in August for a replacement trash rake for the 7.9-MW Chavaroche project on the Fier River. The engineer awarded a contract in 2012 to Rouby of France for work at the 5.9-MW Panneciere hydropower plant on France’s Yonne River.

Hydrostadium now seeks bids for renovation of command and control and automation systems for five “upstream developments” of 3.2 MW each, at Martineix, Fleix, Bujaleuf, Langleret and Villejoubert, and the 2.4-MW Lartige Dam development. Lartige features three 800-kW Kaplan turbines while the five other plants have four of the units each. The work is expected to require five months.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 10 a.m. December 29 to the address below. For information, contact Alina Pricop, Hydrostadium, 22 Avenue des Vieux Moulins, 74000 Annecy, France; (33) 450105344; Fax: (33) 450102526; E-mail:; Internet:
