Construction, equipment sought for India’s 330-MW Shrinagar

Alaknanda Hydro Power Co. Ltd. seeks bids by July 17 in separate solicitations for civil and hydro-mechanical works and electro-mechanical works for the 330-MW Shrinagar hydroelectric project on the Alaknanda River in India’s Uttaranchal State.

Construction of the run-of-river project’s dam, tunnel, power channel, penstock, and powerhouse, with four 82.5-MW units, is expected to take 4.5 years.

Bid documents for civil and hydro-mechanical works, No. AHPCL/SHEP/CIV/2006/01, and for electro-mechanical works, No. AHPCL/SHEP/E&M/2006/01 may be obtained until June 15 from the address below for 50,000 rupees or US$1,000 each, by account payee demand draft to Alaknanda Hydro Power Co. Ltd. at Secunderabad. A pre-bid conference is scheduled June 26.
