Consultants sought for Niger Basin management program

The Niger Basin authority seeks expressions of interest from consultants to design management procedures and a computerized management system for its Niger River Basin development and restoration program. Responses are due June 7.

With funding from the World Bank’s International Development Association, L’Autorite du Bassin du Niger (ABN) previously called for consultants to evaluate the management of environmental and socio-economic information and to serve as personnel recruiters with experience in dams, project management, and development. ABN member states include Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, and Chad.

ABN currently seeks consultants to develop a handbook of administrative, financial, and accounting procedures, and a computerized management system for the basin program. The work is expected to require 90 days.
