Corps awards contract for civil works projects at Savannah District hydropower plants

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a maximum $9.5 million contract to LG2 Environmental Solutions Inc. to provide planning, environmental and engineering services at hydropower projects, dams and other facilities in its Savannah District.

The Corps most recently solicited bids for the work in June.

Included in the contract are hydrology, hydraulics and geotechnical work at Savannah District civil works projects.

The district took bids in February for maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, renovation and operation of 422-MW Hartwell Dam on Georgia’s Savannah River. It also took bids last year for construction, rehabilitation and other work at hydroelectric projects, dams, and other facilities in its South Atlantic Division.
