Corps awards contract for Hydrologic Engineering Center services

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a maximum US$6.4 million contract to Northwest Hydraulic Consultant Inc. to provide hydrologic and hydraulic planning, analysis, modeling, software development and other services for its Hydrologic Engineering Center.

The Corps sought bids for the work in September.

The Hydrologic Engineering Center performs special projects and research, develops software, presents training courses and workshops, and provides technical assistance to Corps field offices, headquarters, and laboratories in support of the Corps civil works program.

HEC took bids in July from small businesses to perform hydrologic and hydraulic engineering modeling and water resources management studies.
